People of all religious beliefs, casts and creeds stay here harmoniously. Major languages spoken in Mount Abu are Rajasthani, Hindi and English. Traditional attire of Rajasthani people being colorful ghagara (skirt) and choli, tourists like to wear them and click photographs as a sweet memory of their visit to Mount Abu.

The summer season being the most pleasant season here, Mount Abu is widely known for its summer festival. Though it is an important festival for the native tribes, everybody takes part in it enthusiastically and enjoy to their heart's content. The summer festival is celebrated in the month of June (Aashadh month of Hindu calendar) every year.

Major attraction of the three days of summer festival is the folk classical music and folk dance performances. Life and culture of tribal people of Rajasthan can be witnessed very closely during this festival. The festival is closed with the grand ceremony of fireworks which is a treat to your eyes.

"Mahavir Jayanti", celebrated in the honor of the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism is another feature of Mount Abu. The famous Dilwara temple is visited by thousands of Jain pilgrims on this most important day of Jain religion.
